I wanted to share a recent experience I had that left a lasting impression on me and ultimately shaped my decision in the upcoming congressional race. A few years ago, I encountered an issue with DART paratransit services and, like many others, I reached out to several offices seeking help. To my surprise, the first person to respond was Sarah McBride. She not only addressed my concerns immediately but also followed up multiple times to ensure my needs were fully met.

At the time, I wasn’t all that familiar with Sarah McBride. However, after this experience, I took the time to learn more about her. I was thoroughly impressed by her extensive portfolio of legislative achievements. From negotiating bills that brought nearly $200 million in Medicaid funds to Delaware to passing paid family leave, Sarah McBride’s track record speaks for itself.

What surprised me the most was that despite how busy she must have been at the time working on such large bills, Sarah McBride didn’t hesitate to take the time to thoroughly address a basic need for one of her constituents. This level of dedication and care is a true testament to her character.

For these reasons, I am proud to support Sarah McBride for Congress. I believe she will bring the same level of commitment, compassion and effectiveness to Washington that she has shown here in Delaware, and to me personally.
